# Node Backlog

Status values: `open` (not yet published), `active` (question live, collecting
replies), `contested` (branches drafted, still disputed), `resolved`
(branches stable for a week or more).

No node has a deadline. The weekly cadence sets how often a new question
opens, not when an old one shuts. Every published node keeps taking replies
for as long as the project runs, and a `resolved` node returns to `contested`
if a later reply reopens it. Expect several nodes to be live at once.
